Bench Hand at Roundpeg Outdoor Buildings

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bench Hand to join our team in the construction of garden buildings. The ideal candidate will possess a keen interest in fabrication and assembly, with an eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create garden structures that meet our customers’ specifications.

Ideally some experience working with timber but training will also be provided for the right candidate. Nail gun and power tool experience is also an advantage but not necessary. Basic Education and understanding of basic maths is required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble components for garden buildings using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform carpentry and joinery tasks to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
• Engage in roofing activities, ensuring proper installation and weatherproofing of structures.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required during the assembly process.
• Assist with construction painting to finish the products to a high standard.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Skills

• Advantageous if you have experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of roofing practices is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
• Familiarity with construction painting methods is beneficial.
